Uttarakhand Forest Resource Management Project (UFRMP) aims at eco-restoration anddevelopment of forest resources, by empowering the community through their improvedlivelihoods and income generation. Forestry and Livelihood Component of the Project isbeing implemented in participatory mode by Van Panchayats (VPs) and Self Help Groups(SHGs).1378 SHGs in 13 Forest Divisions have been formed under the project. Field Level Co-ordinators (FLCs)have been assigned at Range level for Capacity Building, Planning ofActivity Clusters, infrastructure development, Technology, Credit linkage, Marketing etc. indifferent SHGs under the supervision of Marketing Specialist attached to the DMU.It is proposed to develop a GIS integrated mobile application to digitally record the dailyactivities of FLCs & Marketing specialists and monitor their activities for planning anddecision making.
